April 2007 News
Dear BSU Members,
I can hardly believe that it is April already. It seems that just last week I wrote March News. However the daffodils, the tulips, and the honeysuckle all tell me that April has sprung. It is no April Fool's day!! I have been in touch with Juanita Kunce, chairman of 15th Annual Reunion Committee. Plans for the reunion are right on schedule. I plan to meet with her and her committee in early May. We will make more definite plans at that meeting. Believe there is a lot to do. Reunions just don't happen--well good ones don't I mean. And, we plan to have a good one--maybe the best ever.
I am asking all former Chapel Singers to be present and sing with the "New Chapel Singers". Rayford Raby will be our director and he would welcome more singers. We had over thirty respond last year. You will enjoy hearing them sing again this year. I wouldn't miss this if I were you!
I will be able to give you names of motels after my May meeting with Juanita. I do know that the motels will be in Marion. Herrin has no motels. I will try to get us a special discount. I am planning a supper meeting again this year. A special choir rehearsal will be held in the late afternoon on Thursday--an hour or more before our supper at 5:30 pm. I will make all the plans all you need to do is plan to attend. I have had several new people tell me that they plan to attend this year. I am delighted.

- I need help with the Memory Page (click) on the web site. If you know the death date of any of our deceased BSU members--Please let me know. I have tried all year to bring this page up to date. I haven't done well at all. I did add nine death dates to the page this month. Thanks to those of you who sent dates in. I need more!!
- Continue to pray for Dale Clemens--Joyce Showers--Doris Dempsey-- They are all doing better.
- "We celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary Saturday the 16th, but we’ll celebrate it again on April 7 when our kids are all (we hope) coming to Pensacola." Gordon and Nona Grace Eade write.
