December 2007 News

Dear BSU Friends,

I can hardly believe that I justÊ wrote December News at the top of this page. I love the fall and wanted it to stay. However, I love December and Christmas too. I must accept the rapid pace of my calendar and move on I guess!!. I do hope you had wonderful thanksgiving with your family and friends. My church provided a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for all senior adults and their families--as well as any one else in the city who wanted to come. It was a wonderful activity. Our deacons did all the cooking, serving, carry-outs,etc. We served 225 or so. We celebrated with our own families and with our church family as well. It was a wonderful day for us all.

I have tried to keep you abreast of the prayer needs of our BSU friends.It seems there is no end to this list. I will attempt to continue to provide you with our prayers needs .I thank God for theÊ power of prayer. We will continue to make this a priority feature for our BSU friends. Send me your request. I will addÊ them to the list.

Here are the news items for the month. I have enrolled two new BSU members. I make a few corrections to the Directory (that you sent me).Sent several Vintage pictures to the web site.The activity pictures taken atÊ the 2007 Reunion are now on the web site. (click under Annual Reunions--then 2007 Reunions--then 2007 Activities )Ê These pictures are so good. You will enjoy. The Chapel Singers DVD is a challenge to theÊ web site programmer but it will appear some day!!.

I enrolled Bill and Barb Edison to our email address list. That address is bnbeidson@aol.com. I also enrolled Verle Campbell. His email address is verlecampbell@yahoo.com.Ê I have know both of these friends for years.I have triedÊ often to get an email address from them.. (See I never give up) I will add their name and mailing address --phone number--to the directory when I get it.Ê Verle was a BSU student during the late 40's and early 50's. He was a good friend of Wayne King. Bill and Barb Edison were BSU member during the 60's. I Welcome both of you to our BSU email list.Ê I now have 149 email address for BSU members. I have you divided into two groupsÊ Group 1 (81) is made up of the older BSU Members and Group 2Ê (68)is the Younger group and new additions.. That is why you do not receive all of the BSU email addresses when I send out a mailing. You were just dying to get all that information--weren't you??

I do not plan to mail out a Christmas letter (postal) this year. I have done it in the past but I am so busy at my church just now that I have decided to rely on the good old email to do my Christmas Greetings this year. Our Church is in building program just now and I am in charge of "raising money". I am living under the aliasÊ of "Snow White" for the time being. Boy, it is amazing what those dwarfs can say and do, and get away with it!! Snow White writes a weekly column and our people loveÊ to hear her stories shared with the dwarfs. Even adults like make beliefÊ "Grumpy "ain't" Grumpy any more. Happy is our leader and Doc is available at all times to administer toÊ the needs ofÊ Dopey ,Sneezy, Sleepy, and Bashful.!!Ê SEE WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING??..
