CHRISTMAS MONTH

It is Christmas month once more. I am indeed grateful for good health, good friends, good family, good days, bad days,and the privilege of sharing good news, bad news with my old BSU "good" friends. Merry Christmas to you all. I am still rejoicing over the recent BSU reunion. This has been a good year. I do hope you had wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. My church provided a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for all senior adults and their families - as well as any one else in the city who wanted to come. It was a wonderful activity. Our deacons did all the cooking, serving, carry-outs, etc. We served 225 or so. We celebrated with our own families and with our church family as well. It was a wonderful day for us all.

In 2002 I became your BSU President. I have served for the past 6 years.I try to keep you up to date with news concerning our BSU members who were in college during the 40's-50's and 60's. We now have 244 BSU members on our mailing list and they represent 23 states.I have 150 e-mail addresses. We have had over 100 BSU members present at our last 5 Reunions. We celebrated our 16th Reunion in Sept. In Collinsville IL. I try to gather all the materials you have requested. Our BSU web site is updated every month. All "kinds of stuff" is on the web site. You should check it out and check it often. I am always adding material to the web site. I enjoy so much hearing from you. I get my news from you. Please keep me informed and current.

NEWS ITEMS

1. Dale Clemens continues to be in ill health. He has fallen several times in the last month.
2. Betty Springs has had surgery. She has been in the hospital, but she is home now.She had 8 cuts in her leg to remove blood clots. Her church is taking turns caring for her.
3. Sally Smith Horton died November 16.
4. I have corrected two email addresses in the Directory on the web site--Robt. and Evelyn Mandrell and Bill and Mildred Christoff
5. Several email addresses are being returned. I have no idea what is going on with these friends.. Sometimes their e-mail box is full, some times they move, sometimes they change email address (and don't tell me).. I try to keep updated email addresses. I want all BSU members to get my monthly letters and my news items.. Here are few of those who emails have been returned: Charles Gray, Paul Dempsey, Jim Ebbs, Ken Hardway, Jack Shelby, and Byron Pappas. There are more. .If you have a correct email address for these please let me know.
6. I am enclosing a picture of Dale Clemens and me. It was taken in 2007. Dale is my favorite pastor of all time. I hope you will enjoy!!
