FEBRUARY NEWS 2006

I can hardly believe it is February 2006. January has been a rather mild weather month. We have had very little snow and several rather warm days. I have not been "snowed" in at all. My can of Campbell's soup I bought for emergencies is still on the shelf.

As you well know, I buoght a new Dell computer. I changed from Juno to SBC!! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! I have used (MAYBE MISUSED) every friend I had (SMART ONES) to help me!! A few of you did not hear from me!!! I have so much to learn. Every day I ask myself, "WHY WHY WHY???" Maybe someday I will get my answer. In the meantime, be patient with me. I am A slow learner. I ride the short bus. My niece Kim has been my mentor. I must increase her allowance!!

Well, I am working on the 2006 REUNION. Plans are taking shape and I am looking forward to seeing you all again. I now have 39 volunteers for the "NEW Chapel Singers". I am excited about this. I am in contact with the Walnut Street Baptist Church and I am expecting at least 100 in attendance. There is a lot to do.

A FEW NEWS ITEMS:
  • GEORGE AND LEONA DAVIS HAVE A NEW MAILING ADDRESS AS WELL AS A NEW EMAIL ADDRESS. CHECK THE WEB SITE DIRECTORY (Click)
  • HELEN RUTH DILLOW AND RINNNIE SPENCER HAD TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENTS IN JANUARY. BOTH ARE DOING OK. THEY WILL BE "KICKING UP A STORM" BY REUNION TIME. HELEN RUTH DILLOW CAME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL JAN 27.
  • ELAINE DICKSON IS SEEKING HELP FOR THE TREATMENT OF HER THYROID CANCER.
  • OTHERS ARE IN SUNNY ARIZONA OR DEEP IN THE SOUTH LAND OF TEXAS ENJOYING THE WINTER MONTHS.
  • CAROL SMITH IS IN AUSTRIA FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS.
  • I ADDED THE NAME OF GARY GRIGG TO THE DIRECTORY. THAT BRINGS THE TOTAL NUMBER OF BSU MEMBERS ON OUR MAILING LIST TO 200 PLUS.

  • I HEARD TONIGHT THAT EUGENE PHILLIPS IS HAVING DIFFICULTIES WITH HIS PARKINSON DISEASE. SEVERAL OF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS TERRIBLE DISEASE SO YOU KNOW WHAT GENE IS EXPERIENCING. REMEMBER GENE AND PEGGY IN YOUR PRAYERS
NOW, I CAN ONLY REPORT THE NEWS I HEAR FROM YOU. IF YOU HAVE NEWS TO SHARE LET ME KNOW. LET US CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR EACH OTHER. WE ARE A SPECIAL GROUP OF PEOPLE--GOD MADE US THAT WAY. MAY HE KEEP YOU HEALTHY DURING THE NEW YEAR. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS US.
