Heart Month
Well, we had our share of cold weather in January. I found myself working Jigsaw Puzzles more than usual. On Jan 4th I had cataract surgery on my left eye. I am doing ok and plan to have the other one done in a few weeks. Things are sure brighter in Collinsville!!!
I have begun work on the 15th BSU reunion. Juanita Kunce will be the chairman of the BSU Reunion Committee at the First Baptist Church in Herrin. She has been on the job now for a few weeks!!! Working with me isn't always easy but it is always busy. I have more ideas than "good sense" some times. I am sure Juanita will agree.
I plan to use the "New Chapel Singers" again this year. If you want to be a part of the choir just let me know. There is room for you!! I have asked our new Ex. Sec. for Illinois Baptists to be with us and to speak on Friday morning. Nate Adams is not new to Illinois Baptist. He is the son of the late Tom Adams. We all loved Tom's column in the Illinois Baptist. You will enjoy getting to know Nate and to hear his message for us "Old BSU Members". He can tell us but he can't tell us much that we don't already know!! Right?? Right!!

- Doris Dempsey is to have surgery Feb. 1 at Barnes in St Louis. I will try to keep you informed about her condition.
- I have added a new page to the web site. It is called Recent Photos.(click) Please note a picture of Evelyn Gustafson. Evelyn is one of our older BSU members. She now lives in Texas. Her maiden name was Frakes If you have current pictures you want to share -- just send them to me. I have included two pictures of me and my two sets of twin great nieces.
- I have added some new pictures to the 2006 Reunion Page. These were sent to my by Phil and Lotella Cole. Click here to view the pictures.
- Bob and Edie (Kerr) Wheeler--Sheila Joyner -- and Ken and Jo Nell Cannon have been added to the directory. (click)
- Stan and Micki Nicol have a new email address. Micki is still taking chemo treatments. She is doing better.
- Carolyn Alexander has a new address. She has moved to Golden Illinois
- Effie Grace (Kettle) Keller died May 7, 2006.
