February 2010 News
January has gone. It "flew" by very quickly. It was very cold month for us--very wet too. We had two weeks of very cold weather.
It was near zero several days.I understand some of you had cold weather as well. I heard it was very cold in Florida. Well, be that as it may.
I can't control the weather nor can you. It was busy month for me none the less. I am back to doing most of my church activities.
I am driving again now too.I stay busy. I like that!! The first week in February our church will be participating in the area Meal on Wheels Program.
We do this every 13 weeks. I am in charge of the program for our church. I also plan to serve this time. I am happy to be able to do this again.
The Lord has been so very good to me. Our church has moved into our new Educational building. This is an exciting time for us. So, we welcome in February 2010.
A new year always takes time for adjusting. Now, as far as I know the web site is up to date(www.bsu-siu.com). I update it every month.
Please continue to send me your BSU news. That includes illnesses, deaths, new addresses. Send any ideas you might have concerning the BSU Reunions to Ginger.
She has been in South Carolina but is home now and working on the reunion I would imagine.. Yes, we are starting a new month of a new year and a new President.
We must learn to adjust. I will be available for any help I can offer.

Helen and Ginger, thought I'd let you know this news item as a prayer request from/for me. I took an article from a Focus on the Family publication, and changed it into a
drama. Because our church is soooooo small, I have reached out to members of other churches for some of the cast. We have invited many neighboring churches,
trusting that the message of the validity of human life will greatly impact people that "Thou shall not murder" is from the Lord, and then VOTE accordingly.
'In observance of Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, Bellefontaine Baptist Church (north St Louis County) will present a drama "What Do You Say....to an Aborted Child's Father?"

"It's what you learn after you know it all that counts. Look at these ten commandments (copied)
Ten Commandments
Some people have trouble with all those 'shall's' and 'shall not's' in the Ten Commandments. Folks just aren't used to talking in those terms. So, in middle Tennessee they translated the 'King James' into ' Jackson County ' language....no joke (posted on the wall at Cross Trails Church in Gainesboro , TN ).
- Just one God
- Put nothin' before God
- Watch yer mouth
- Git yourself to Sunday meetin'
- Honor yer Ma & Pa
- No killin'
- No foolin' around with another fellow's gal
- Don't take what ain't yers
- No tellin' tales or gossipin'
- Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff
Now that's plain an' simple. Y'all have a nice day now ya hear!
And bless your little heart.....
