January 2011 News
January is gone. I am glad!!! It was a very cold month. We also had a lot of snow. During the Christmas holidays I kept singing ------ "Let it snow--Let it Snow--Let It Snow" And, it did!! Boy, I am sorry I sang that!! I told you last month that we had lost our pastor to retirement--Jim Donahue. Now, we are having guest speakers. I miss the stability of having a pastor every Sunday. So, I will be glad when we get a new pastor. However, that will be a long time I am sure. I received so many nice Christmas cards from you. I can hardly believe that we were at SIU-BSU in the 40's. Gee, that makes YOU in your 70'snd 80"s. I can remember most of you and remember "a little" something about you. I promise not to tell though!!. I hope you are planning to attend our 2011 BSU Reunion. It is to be held in Carbondale. That is good!! I continue to stay busy. I can't do many of the things I once did-- but it doesn't bother me. I don't want to any way. My church is my favorite place to go -- friends there are the most important people to me, and I have my family nearby (not all of course.) I am happy in my comfortable condo. "Who could ask for anything more". And, then I have you, my BSU family. Gee,I feel better now. I think February is going to be one of my favorite months--all because you are a part of it. Now, you best read my February BSU news. I wrote it just for YOU.

Have a Fantastic day! There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it. For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt...

Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfect
