Before I begin my August News let me share the latest information concerning the Chapel Singers's Second Album ( Echoes 2) made in 1961. The Director was Charles Gray. It is now on our web site. I think it is very good and I hope you will enjoy it. You can listen to it by clicking HERE.
This link will be listed under Chapel Singers as well as here. You will find all 11 songs on the tape. If you click on the song and have a media player it should play fine !! If you right click the title and click "Save Target As" it will let you save the song on your computer.
Well I am home from the hospital with my new bionic knee--plus my 2 year old bionic replacement. Do you think I might be a candidate for "Wonder Woman" for the year?? I doubt it!! Thank you for your concern and prayers. I felt your prayers near me. I am grateful for friends and family. I think I will be "up and at 'em" after a few weeks of therapy.
Our BSU reunion is on my mind and I am trying to bring together my plans for the September meeting. By the way, no one identified Jack--our inspirational speaker, Care to try again?? (See June News Click here)
And now, my real news for July. I received a copy of the second album done by the Chapel Singers in the early 60's. It is called Echoes 2. Charles Gray was the Director. Echoes 1-- the first recording -- (Click Here) was placed on the web site www.bsu-siu.com in May. Many of you expressed your joy in hearing those five songs. Now, those of you with DSL will enjoy the second album containing 11 more songs--all are great!! I plan to put the album on the web site sometime later this month. When I put it on the web site it will be found under Vintage Pictures near the Chapel Singers first album. The album can be played completely or song by song. YOU WILL ENJOY! Look for it!!
