July 2009 News

July is my favorite month of the year. I was born July 9--only 5 days from being a "firecracker". Well, some say I didn't miss it at all. Well, be that as it may. July is an exciting month. I am excited as I write this July news. I am working on the 17th Annual BSU Reunion. It is a lot of work but something I like to do. I do hope you are planning to attend. We will be meeting in Carbondale again. We always have our best attendance when we can go "home" to Carbondale. There are so many memories and so I have chosen as our Reunion theme "I Remember When". It has been fun working on this theme. I think you will enjoy it too. You do remember the "old apron" Grandma used to wear, don't you? And that "dainty" little handkerchief we all carried. I don't know why--It was so small and fragile--it was hardy good for anything. We never left home without one though. And, those precious "little golden books''. How we all loved those stories. I remember too those "from the scratch home baked pies" that my mother used to make. Gee, I do Remember When.
