Dear BSU Friends,
I always seem to be amazed how time does fly. I just finished the May news and already the June news is on the horizon. I could hope that you look forward to hearing news about our BSU friends.
I have been hesitant to share a piece of news with you, However, I want you to know about my upcoming knee replacement surgery. Two years ago in January I had total knee replacement on my left knee and now I must share this experience with my right knee. The surgery will be June 20th (12 noon) at the Anderson hospital Maryville IL. I will be using the same doctor I used in 2002, I have complete confidence in him. I will be slowed up a bit but don't you worry I will be "up and at 'em" in a few weeks. Our BSU reunion is under control--special friends are committed and decorations are planned and purchased. Our theme "Route 66" will be everywhere. Betty Boop may be limping but she will be present!!
Just a word about our inspiration speaker for our BSU reunion 2005. His name is Jack. Look at the following list of names. Who do you think I have chosen to be our guest speaker?? Is it Jack Frost, Jack Daniel, Jack Rabbit, Jack be Nimble, Jack the Ripper, or none of the above?? More about our guest speaker next month. Do you know a Jack that I might have chosen??
During the month I have placed a new vintage picture on the vintage page. It is a 1948 picture of a BSU Annual King and Queen Celebration. Click HEREto view the picture. Several "old" BSU members are in the picture--including a picture of Warren Littleford and Fred Opper. I have no other picture of these two very active BSU student in 1947-48!! Catherine (Gibbs) Neely and Taylor Neely were the honored quests. Look this picture over for other "old" BSU'ERS-- especially RAS??? I have added the addresses of a few more members.
Well that is it for this month. I hope to have an article ready for you in July. I will try to get you news concerning my surgery. Maybe I can get Dale Clemens to send you a news letter--Don't count on it!!. Pray for me June 20th. I will feel safe with your prayers. I love you all.

P.S. I hope to have a letter to all BSU'ERS in the mail (John Wayne Stamp) in late June or early July. This will be concerning the 2005 reunion.
