Dear BSU Friends,
April showers brought May flowers to Southern Illinois. I trust those same showers brought you flowers as well. I love the Spring and the newness of life. Thank you Lord for our world.
Well, May is here. Let me share with you what has been added to the www.bsu-siu.com web site. I have added the name of Shirley (Garrison) Schloeman to our Directory. She graduated from SIU in 1956 (She started in 1949 and taught school while working on her degree) She graduated from New Orleans Seminary (1958) and worked for the Home Mission Board. She has been in Arizona for 30 years teaching in the public schools there. Welcome Shirley to our list of BSU Friends. I have corrected the address of Irma Swope and added the names of Gene Quinn and Erica Morris to the Memories list. I try to keep the Web site updated and correct!!
I have added a picture of the Clemens triplets. It can be seen under Good Times. I am referring to the grandchildren of Dale and Ada Ann Clemens. The triplets are doing much better now. It has been a struggle--what a challenge!! You will notice that J. J. the only boy is wearing a Cardinal uniform. He is getting a good start in life. The girls are named Zoe and Emma.
I plan to get a letter out to all BSU members on our mailing list in late May or early June. It concerns our BSU reunion. Those of you on my email list hear from me often but others do not. I feel the need of getting out at least two letter a year. I wrote you at Christmas time--Remember?? I have even purchased the new John Wayne postage stamp for the mailing. (That should bring back memories) Plans for the reunion are on the web site (click Here or 2005 reunion) Route 66 is becoming very familiar to me. I do hope you are all planning to attend. Betty Boop is planning on being there!!!
