May 2006 News

Dear BSU Members and Friends,

I almost forgot to write May News. I am not finished with April yet! Now, I didn't really forget. I just got busy, busy, busy. You know what I mean!! April showers really did bring May flowers to Collinsville, IL.(That is where I live.) They (the flowers) are bursting out everywhere. It really is Spring here. God is so great -- God is so good.

During the month of April I sent you (email) a list of the "New Chapel Singers". The response was great--50 of you (give or take a few). I do have a few corrections and additions - See below! I will not send the list again. I sent the list mid-April. However, if you have lost yours and need another --just let me know!!

Here are a few corrections and additions to the "New Chapel Singers" Group:

Bud Mifflin, who says he was never a Chapel Singer, has asked to have his name removed. We are sorry about this. Bud has sung with different groups in the past and I know he would be a big help to us. I will honor all requests. I feel sure you will all have good reasons.
Now, Jack Shelby has asked to have his name added to the list. We will do that!!
I have a name correction. Please change the name of Marge Shelton to read Margie Phillips Shelton. Please make that correction on your list and I will too.
Add the names of Frank and Sue Tebow and Betty Springs to the list of singers. This group will sing Friday Sept. 29 after lunch!!

Plans for the BSU reunion are on schedule. I plan a trip to Carbondale in May to meet with the Reunion Committee appointed by the pastor- Wes Henson- of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. Our theme Music, Music, Music is a fun theme. Don Kelley and Debbie Henson will be our guests for the Thursday night (fun, games, and fellowship session) You will like this!!

Let me remind you of our friends on the "poor health" list. Please pray for them during these difficult days. Remember:
