Dear BSU Friends,

The April snow is gone. The April showers are gone. The unusual cold April weather is gone. Now these are gone to be sure, but believe me they are not forgotten. In fact, we will remember this past month as one of the coldest we have experienced. However, the May flowers are here now. They were welcomed with great joy.Spring always follows winter. It would seem that God is very much in control. So, I welcome May with open arms. I send you this news letter with the hope that you will welcome our BSU news with interest and concern--and just maybe with open arms as well.

I hear from some BSU member every day. I look forward to your emails, your cards, and your calls. From you I gather the monthly news.. I read it all with interest and with love. Here are my news items:

• I have removed the name and email address for Richard Hendrickson. Their mail is always returned. If you have a correct email address please send it to me.

• Myron and Margaret Dillow have moved to the Missouri Baptist Home in Ozark Mo. Their address is 1656 Lifecare Dr, Ozark Mo. 65721. They have a new email address too. His new email address is: myrondillow@live.com
• Mary Garrison is doing better now. Her "almost stroke symptoms" are being treated and she is doing ok. Continue to remember her in your prayers.
• Dale Clemens is doing a bit better. He had a birthday April 13 He says he is 77. Can we trust that black hair as real. Does he or doesn't he?
• A note from Sarah Bethel, "Thanks for keeping us posted. You do a great job. Don and I have had an eventful first months of 2008. Don has had some problem with CHF, but is better now [see him as the featurred in the April issue of Marion Living magazine). Sarah had open heart surgery 2/28 and has had several complications but is slowly recovering. Thank God"
• A note from Bill Christoff " We are both doing much better since Mildred is home from Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was there about 3 weeks ago with a twist in her small colon "
