13th Annual Reunion Month!
Hello Dear BSU Friends,
September is here!!! Our 13th annual reunion is here too. We are ready for you at the Meadow Height Baptist Church in Collinsville. We plan to celebrate the theme Route 66. We want you to "Get Your Kicks on Route 66". This as a fun theme and you will enjoy it.
Earlier this month I wrote you about motel rooms. I have reserved 10 rooms for you at Best Western for Thursday night September 29th. That phone number is 618-345-9500. Ask for Helen Galloway's reserved rooms. I was able to get you a reasonable rate I thought. If you need further help with motel rooms please let me know SOON.
Let me suggest that you visit the web site for Meadow Heights Baptist Church (click) for information and help. We have drawn a map to help you find the church. A letter of welcome is there too. You will enjoy the information given there. Check it out!!
I have asked Jack Shelby to be our guest speaker at our reunion. He will speak Friday following our noon luncheon. You will enjoy getting to know Jack. He is a wonderful leader, a dedicated Christian, a delightful person and a member of our BSU!! I will write you more about Jack (via email) later in the month. He is the Jack you were trying to identify. Noone was correct!! See picture at bottom of page.
Now, Thursday night our church is planning a light evening meal for those of you coming in on Thursday. Please meet me at 5:30 PM for a soup and sandwiches supper, hot cider, cookies.etc. If you are coming (Thursday Night) will you please send me a short email to this effect. I want to make sure we have plenty of "soup". We use the back door at Meadow Heights. We want you to use it too. Someone will be there to greet you!!
You should have heard from Harold Spencer about dinner reservations. We are expecting 100+. I assure you that we will have fun, food, fellowship and more, more, more!!
If you and your church would like to host the 2006 BSU reunion please come prepared to share that information with us. We need a place!! Please think it over. I will help you!!
